CORONA
SUMIT-ISM I/O MODULE Diamond System's
new Corona
SUMIT-ISM I/O Module was specifically
designed for vehicle applications. The module has
successfully passed MIL-STD-202G shock and
vibration testing. All of Corona's features,
including WiFi, operate across the full industrial
temperature range of -40ºC to +85ºC. Corona's WiFi card
is a dual channel/dual antenna mini-PCI IEEE
802.11a/b/g wireless LAN that supports transmit
and receive rates of up to 108Mbps. Single-antenna
operation is also supported. The average power of
Corona's WiFi ranges up to 200mW with peak power
to 600mW. Corona is also available without the
WiFi module, so you can install other mini-PCI
cards, such as video capture, GPS, serial ports,
and additional Ethernet ports. The on-board dual
10/100Base-T Ethernet ports offer communication
with remote hosts. The SDVO-to-VGA converter
accepts the SDVO output from Diamond's Aurora
single board computer and converts it
to analog VGA output. Corona's underside has a
2.5" SATA solid state flashdisk (SSD) mounting
location, used for local data storage before
off-loading to a host system. Diamond's
enclosure-less SSD simplifies integration and
reduces size, weight, power and
cost. |

AURORA
PC/104 SBC Corona is a great
match for Diamond's newest Aurora
SBC. With a 1.6GHz Atom Z530
processor, Aurora is a true PC/104 form factor SBC
with a unique conduction cooling plate on the
bottom side. The cooling plate enables efficient
heat dissipation to the system enclosure, while
keeping Aurora's top side free for adding I/O
boards. Aurora works with Diamond's new rugged
memory modules, as well as both PC/104 and
SUMIT-ISM I/O modules. Ideal for rugged
applications, Aurora reliably operates in an
ambient temperature range of -20ºC to +71ºC and
has successfully passed MIL-STD-202G shock and
vibration testing. With proper thermal dissipation
to the enclosure wall, Aurora can operate safely
at ambient temperatures as high as
+85ºC. | |
